Growing up in Vancouver, Canada, I was fortunate to be surrounded by art and nature. My mom illustrated childrens' books and my dad built custom homes. I graduated from Emily Carr University of Art and Design in 2012 with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Art. After graduating, I started a small business painting watercolor commissions of children and pets. In the Spring of 2014 I visited Hawaii for the first time and fell in love with the islands. I now live full time on Maui with my husband Chris and our son Frankie!
Since moving to Hawaii, I've been inspired by a botanical approach to drawing and my paintings often incorporate natural subjects such as local plants and flowers. I am fascinated by color and light relationships and am always learning new techniques. My favorite medium is watercolor but I love to experiment with many mediums such as encaustic and oil. Thanks for stopping by!
